Blue ombre (ombre cake inside) and buttercream ombre as well. Then im making a sugar cookie in the shape of a 7, and covering it with gold fondant to stick on top

This is the first cake im making someone (solo) and ive WAYYY undercharged. But she is a friend so i'll just ask her to tell people a higher price if they ask about it. Does that sound fair?

Exciting ;-) can't wait to see!

DH is at work this week so I can't back, 2 kids under 2 doesn't give me much 'free' time!

I'm gonna smack your hand for undercharging! But understand why you have.

Definitely let her know what your regular pricing will be.

    It sounds gorgeous!

This week I've made two slices and tonight I made the kids and DH scones for supper (his grandma's recipe). Had to make the scones as I had cream left over from making one of the slices...of course! They turned out great - so I'll have to remember to use that same recipe next time. Was sooo tempting just to reach out and eat a crumb, but I'll savour that moment for when I'm back down to my normal size.

That's a great thing to do ZE. I have no idea how much people charge for cakes. I know just to make some of the kids' ones it's at least $35 by the time I get/make the cake, icing, extra colours, ganache. It sounds like she is getting a great deal!
