@Tinkbug I was actually worried I didn't fold mine in enough! But it turned out okay aha. The custard is a bit firm too, because of being surface baked xD

Thanks! They're so good, and my favourite. My wedding cake is going to be red velvet, i love it so much 😻😻😻

    http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/3060...heese+frosting

This is the rough recipe I learnt from, I've tweaked it a bit and made it my own though. Also, I bake it for about 10 minutes more at 20C less (makes it perfectly light and fluffy every time!) and add more vanilla and icing sugar to the frosting otherwise it tastes too buttery and melts really easily. 😸😸😸

Oh and always trust your nose! If you can smell it, it's time to check it (:

I got a tray of strawberries for $5 today so I really wanted strawberry shortcake. I baked it and now I don't feel like it.

If only I had seen this sooner I would have posted the cheese & spinach pasties I made for lunch today ;-)

Otherwise this is dd's 1st birthday cake I made. The middle is the letter T (cake is upside down) for her name. I really need to invest in some brighter food colouring

    Sorry eta

@Tinkbug magic custard cake take 2 (much to hubby's delight!)

    ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1415881144.898213.jpg

Was a double batch as well, so it would fit into the only tray I had that doesn't have a lift out bottom aha. It tastes so yummy! Definitely glad I tried it again, and thank you for the recipe! 💚💚
