Cinnamon scrolls for some afternoon tea
Not naked so I'm cheating but: chocolate, coconut and almond freezer fudge using the recipe for a chocolate espresso tart aka too lazy to make the crust...
ETA: baked not naked, obvs :-)
How have I not seen this thread until today?!
I like to bake, but I'm an 'ugly' baker. It tastes wonderful, just looks like poo
See? Ugly! They were monster cakes for the boys birthday at kinder last year. Although I will say DD was only 10 weeks old back then!
Lately I have been making a lot of lactation boosting cookies, butterfly cupcakes with cream and blueberry bread. I can't post pics right now though, because I can't post pictures from my phone at all for some reason. (The above pic had already been transferred to my computer months ago)
I bought the push pop containers from Robin's Kitchen as they were going under but I've seen them on cake supply websites. I made a normal cake mix up but baked it in a lasagne dish so it would be flatter but I still needed to halve them to fit the three layers. I didn't have a cutter the right diameter so just just the pop container to cut them and them built up the layers. I tried to use an ombré thing with the icing but I think it was too subtle. And cheated with little icing decos from woolies. Oh and I piped the icing in to try and make it a bit neater and used the next layer of cake to push it out gently to the edge.
It took bit of trial and error to work out the kinks but hopefully I'll be quicker next time
DD3 gave her seal of approval by swiping one off the bench (excuse the blurriness but I love it!)
