I know 18 yr olds that still like smiggle so I would say yes 13 yr olds do.

If she likes reading you could get a dymocks gift card?

Also I know you don't want to feed the video game addiction but what about a poster or a book about her favourite game?

Other possibilities could be movie vouchers or a dvd.

I think a small something so it's personal and a gift card of some sort. Teenage girls can be so picky!
Most of them like stationary though.

My DD is around that age and she and her friends have moved on from smiggle to Typo
My DD would appreciate Cotton On Body vouchers, Peter Alexander vouchers, Movie tickets, stuff from Typo, that's sort of thing. Hope that helps

Jewellery - maybe an initial necklace or birthstone/signet ring, a bangle or anklet
Movie tickets and a whole heap of lollies, maltesers, m&m's etc
Box of nail stuff - polish, polish remover wipes, polish drying spray, manicure set etc. you could put in it a nice cosmetic bag so she can keep it all together.
    Voucher for a manicure
Something from the surf shop - pencil case, wallet, bag, thongs.
Typo sell really funky strings of lights that she could put up in her room (if her parents would be cool with that )
Onesie (pj kind not the animal sort)
