No personal experience but a friend went to Westmead Public but as a private patient ( not in the private hospital as she didn't have insurance) and she didn't like it. She thought maybe it was because she was there as a private patient so was largely ignored with little help offered for breastfeeding or any other questions/issues. I'm sure others will have positive stories, I think it's partly luck of the draw and partly what your expectations are like.

Westmead was amazing! My DD2 was born there last October and I would definitely go back. I went through the caseload program and would highly recommend it if you can get in. The birthing suites are lovely. The only thing is I can't speak for the aftercare as I went home a few hours later and didn't go around to maternity.

I had my first there in 2007 and loved them.

a gf of mine had her bub there in 2012 and had a great experience too xx

I think you'll find good and bad experiences for any hospital though
