    Default Pillow for toddler?

Just after some advice ladies. My 17 month old has a bad cough (runny nose and conjunctivitis too!) and last night woke up 12+ times from the coughing. I raised her mattress and put on her vapouriser but it didn't do much.

So tonight I just put her head on a pillow after more coughing - and the coughing has stopped! What do you think? I wouldn't normally do it due to the SIDS risk but I wonder if she is old enough now anyway?

    Thanks

My 18 month old DS has been using a toddler pillow (quite low) for months now. I wouldn't hesitate to give him a higher one if he was sick and it helped. He has finally worked out to sleep with his head on it instead of his, feet, body etc.
