Default What age to get Baby Christened?

Just wanted to ask what age to get your Baby christened or baptised?

My husband & I both catholic, will have our daughter as catholic. and she is 4 1/2 months old now.

    Advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks, Helen

My kids aren't Baptised or Christened, but my sisters, brother and I were all done at around 1-2mths.

I've been to 2 Christenings, the kids were about 8mths old.

It doesn't matter what age they are...up to you really.
Jesse and Lukey were both Baptised at 4 months - mostly so they could fit into my Christening gown which was made by my Great Aunty.
Another one of my friends, because her baby was quite sick, had the Baptism in the hospital.
I was Baptised at 4 months much to my Grandmother's disgrace - she wouldn't allow my parents to take me out anywhere until I was Baptised...just in case (European worry wart that she is!)
It's such a wonderful day - good luck with all of your plans...and to your baby...welcome to the family!

My DD was Baptised at 3 1/2 months so she would fit into my Christening gown too

Like everyone else has said you can get it done at any time, I never got my son baptised as my hubby isn't religious but I did manage to get him blessed, DS2 was 6wks old,

    When it suits you.

We have an antique family christening gown here, and it is not big.

When 9lb 2oz DS was born, one of the first things on my mind was organising the christening fast so the gown would fit. He was 8 weeks old when we had it done.

His smaller sisters were 12 weeks.

Thanks everyone that responded, this gives me an idea.

With close to Xmas, I say most likely have something arrange in the New Year.
