Ok so this may be a silly post...a friend of mine was talking about how for baby no 2 she is planning on conceiving ,she wants to try the baby boy diet, positions, timing of ovulation etc... (she has a DD so wants a boy now)..

I know these things dont usually work but has anyone tried it?? and actually worked ?? just curious

I haven't done this but wanted to jump in and say no one will ever know for sure if it works as there is a 50% chance of being right ;-)

I believe you can sway the odds in your favour. We gender swayed and it worked. So did my boss, and family friends of hers have done it 6 times and it's worked.

Tried gender swaying twice. First time we TTC for 11 months and couldnt get pregnant, threw all the methods out the window and went with the flow and got boy #2.

Did the whole shebang with #3, diet, timing etc. But it wasnt meant to be and we were blessed with DS3 (who is the absolute happiest baby I have ever met!)

If someone could be bothered to do a proper study with a large enough sample size they could figure out if it works or not

If they were analyzing sperm samples and tracking ovulation and monitoring couples around the clock to make sure they're consuming the right foods, having s.ex at the right times etc, then I guess they might get close to a conclusive answer but when there's only 2 choices, you've got a high likelihood that you'll get the one you want!
