    Default Hotels in Brisbane CBD?

It's my 30th b'day in a couple of weeks, and DH is sending me away for a night of rest and relaxation!! I would like to stay in the Brisbane CBD - anyone have any nice hotel recommendations? I don't really want to spend more than $250 for the night - which seems doable looking at wotif.com. I like the look of the Sofitel at the moment, but welcome any other recommendations

I love the Sofitel in Brisbane, it's just luxurious! We got a mystery hotel deal from wotif and it was really great. We stayed at the Hilton for just over $100. Definitely worth a look.

Stamford is amazing and the food in the brasserie is to die for. The breakfast buffet is amazing. We stayed there on our wedding night and it was faultless.

I travel to Brisbane a fair bit for work, Sebel is my favourite, nice room, good restaurant and walking distance to botanical gardens.
Mercure King George Square is pretty nice too and might be more within your price range.
