It is very graphic and involves a child drowning where the mother can't get to him because the water has....some kind of something stopping her getting into it, like a metaphor for not knowing first aid.

I was going to watch.. But after reading some comments here I'm not so sure.
    Does it involve children?

Yes it does. It is very distressing so if you think you won't be able to handle it, don't watch it. This is on prime time so I have seen it and I don't agree it should be on at all.

Oh we have this ad in SA! My friend's nephew drowned a couple of years ago and I think of her every time I see this. I think there are better ways to get the message across. Just wondering, for those without first aid has it convinced anyone to take a course?

As much as I hated watching the ad, it absolutely made me think about getting my first aid again (mine has expired) I am a terrible procrastinator as well......

I find this as confronting and makes me so uncomfortable and I have my senior first aid! It's the kind of thing you have nightmares about. Not cool

    JEepers!

It made me think more about not running on slippery surfaces than first aid... Although I already have my first aid so I'm not the target audience.

    talk about graphic though :-/

Wow. I didn't even watch it with sound and I'm pretty sure this will feature in my next nightmare.

Awful, awful footage. I can't deal with imagery like that, so I'm glad I'm in NSW where it doesn't air so I won't accidentally see it again.

I found the "Courses from $49" directly after something so distressing a bit off putting, tbh. It's like, "Here's some footage of your worst nightmare. No time to recover - just give us money to stop it coming true".

I guess it feels a bit like emotional blackmail.

It's ridiculous. I don't need to see a disturbing image to be reminded to do a first aid course. They could stress the importance of first aid in a more tasteful manner. This ad turns my stomach and makes me think of my worst nightmare, not "oh yeah, I should do my first aid course".

I had nightmares after watching this ad. I think it's too much.

I think it needs a warning at the start of the ad.
