Default Contractions for an hour and then nothing?

Hi, I am 36 weeks tomorrow and just had a weird experience. I had an hour of painful regular contractions (2nd baby). Had to breathe through them, moaning and felt like my last labour. Then they just stopped. I did do a yoga class earlier this evening. Is this normal!? They certainly weren't just Braxton hicks. Midwife has told me to go in if it starts again. Has anyone experienced this?

I had a false labour at 39weeks. Bubs was born a few days later.
It was crazy and I honestly thought I was in labour. I even made arrangements for ds to stay with friends. But I went to bed and woke up the next morning with nothing. Massive let down!

Usually it's just the bodies way of starting to fire things up. But it could still be weeks away yet.

You did the right thing calling your middie. Hope you can rest tonight and things progress in a few weeks. : )
