I only just saw this. Yes, everything is okay. I was just a bit stressed from dinner, having sick children all day and feeling like DS2 will never decide to wean. Thank you for asking

Went out to a lovely community Christmas party with my parents and brother and his new baby and fiance. Had a great time... buuut.. why do they start dinner so late? I didn't get home til 10pm, and that was leaving as soon as I could after Santa visited, before dessert was served! My boys were heartbroken I was tearing them away before dessert (I've taught them well!)... Some days I feel I have done my kids a disservice by giving them an early bedtime!

A major point of contention in our house. Seriously, I don't understand the amount of time they require or this just another thing we are more efficient at also?

This is us too. Whenever we are invited somewhere it's always a start time of around 7pm. My kids go to bed at that time so we always have to go early and leave before everyone gets there

Halfway through a dungeon playing Zelda OOT on the N64. DD comes along and yanks on a cord and havoc is caused. The trauma! The absolute horror!!

...Of course... I was only helping the boys out....
