Ds just doesnt sleep when we are out & if I try he just screams & screams. So we never go out. And its really hard sitting at home all day every day declining the invites from mums group mums for catch ups, rhyme time, swimming etc. It makes me sad that I dont have a baby like theirs.

Can you invite mums over to your house for a catch up? My ds would only sleep in his cot for a while so I got people to come to me

I do sometimes. But I still miss out on so much - kindyroo, rhyme time etc, they see each other multiple times a week out & about while ds & I just sit at home.

Its hard having people over even as we are often yelling to each other over a screaming ds

I picked up a friends child from school that is 5 minutes down the road today because he had a suspected broken finger and she was unable to get away from work. When she comes to pick him up she thrusts $20 in my hands for the favour and refuses to take it back even when I try to put it back in her bag. It feels wrong to accept the money for helping her out in a crisis. It didn't cost me anything. If anything he kept dd2 entertained for me.

I am wishing my parents wouldn't use the iPad to entertain our daughter. Don't get me wrong, they do plenty of other stuff with her, like today she went for 2 swims, did painting and played in the sandpit. But at home she plays on it for about 10-20 minutes per week and using it at their house makes her throw the most epic tantrums at home if we forget to hide ours :-(

Oh great. Dh is stuck in the city cause of the storm & flash flooding & im unable to get ds to go down in his cot at all anymore (dh puts him down at 6.30 when he gets home).

God knows what time he'll be home now & ds has been up since 2.45. Ive been trying to get him down for another snooze in his rocker but he wont even do that now.

I dont drive (& even if I did id rather not cause of the bad storm) & obviously I cant walk outside with the pram. Im injured so I cant carry ds around the house so my only hope is that he'll settle in my arms in the rocking chair. Fingers crossed.

    Just love this.....

Big hugs @heartstringz. I hope your ds is now sleeping peacefully for you xx There really is nothing more frustrating than an over tired, cranky baby
