So angry with the hospital I was told they where keeping DS in for struggling to gain weight I kindly told them he gained 600 grams last this month they ignored me and said he needs solids to which I replied he gags and throws up he isnt ready but no they where determined so me and DP try solids he throws up! They came back today I told them they said he didnt gain any weight last month so until he does he needs to stay I kindly reminded them again he gained 600grams this month he shows me a printed off then marked with pen chart for DS weight the idiots had him down as 8kg at 4 months and 8.1kg at 5 months! I showed them my green book so that they would believe me when i said he was 7.5kg at 4 months! Wish they'd listen to us parents more! We have been discharged and are back home!

What the hell forcing solids at 5 months and no bottles?? I can't believe the incompetence with them misreading bubs weight stats! Glad you are at home now!

Yeah thanks everyone the only good thing about DS being in hospital is that after last night he is finally learning how to self settle!

This paed wasn't his usual just the one that was on hospital duty for this week. I see my paed again in 2 weeks I'm sure he will have something to say about it. I am seriously considering making a complaint as I on numerous ocassions told this paed that the reflux has settled and he had good weight gain this month and the main problem was the virus and lack of sleep. He treated for reflux prescribing gaviscon and made me give solida because he didnt read DS file properly. Not very happy about it all he made me feel like I was doing something wrong when infact he did something wrong by not listening.

Would accessing donor breast milk help with the reflux?

Not unless she was on an elimination diet and its free..... its not the reflux any way its actually gotten way better the past month. It was the virus he had.
