My 30th was celebrated at the Moulin Rouge with my hubby. We left 3 children at home with their Nanny and travelled around France for 2 weeks.

I gave hubby his only son 5 days before his 30th, best wife ever!!

I hired out a function room at a karaoke bar and we sang (badly) all night long. It was wonderful!

My last milestone birthday was my 21st. We hired a nightclub and our area was cordoned off from the rest of the club so it was privaye and had a security guard at the door to make sure there were no gate crashers. We had our own bar and staff, nibblies, dance floor, dj and balcony. Kids and under 18s were allowed until 9pm which was great as I had my young siblings there (our only dd at the time stayed home with dh). Did the cake and speeches etc before kids had to leave and then we partied on until sunrise. By we I mean me and my mum and dad- everyone else bailed on me at about 3am lol. Was a great night!!

30th - went to the Gold Coast for s couple of nights with DH and DS. It was lovely. Then the weekend after, my MIL organised a high tea for me with my favourite ladies from my family and friends. It was really nice

Subbing for ideas! DP is 30 at the end of the year and we'd planned on leaving DS with his grandparents and having a couple of nights away. We weren't expecting to also have a 5 month old so obviously plans have changed!

I stretched out celebrations over several weeks for my 40th.

I had a long leisurely lunch at a lovely restaurant with my parents, the kids and DH.

I also booked a room at a restaurant and had cocktails and a dinner party with DH and friends while the children had a sleepover at my parents.

We then went to Noosa for the week with the children and on the day of my birthday, picked up some yummy treats from a deli and had a gourmet picnic and cake in a park.
