Default Healthy Snacks - for you and kids?

Now that its winter, I am reaching for the hot chocolate

The "Keeping me accountable" thread has made me realise just how much I snack ...

    so ... help me !!!!

What are some easy, healthy snacks that will satisfy me and not make me crave chocolate?

I do muffins. They taste pretty good.

    1 cup of flour
    1 cup of milk
    1 cup of coconut
2 cups of fruit (banana, berries, apple, pear etc)
1 egg (optional - they are a little dense if you don't use the egg)

    My dd loves them!

Ohhh I need to follow this. I am so boring with snacks, it's always fruit or yoghurt.

Do you think you could substitute the egg for coconut oil?

    How about raw nuts?

Raw cashews have an almost sweet taste.

yeah but raw nuts I end up having more than just a small handful.

I love nuts, so I end up eating a whole lot - and they are not super healthy for you in those kind of quantities
