Default NSW couple searching for a surrogate

I'm really new to this so am just wondering is this where I may talk to and meet IPs and potential surrogates?

Thanks so much for your reply. It's a huge thing to be asking someone to do, I'm hoping for a miracle within 12 months or 2 years or you have to start thinking I may be getting to old, I want to be still young enough to watch them grow into adults, get married etc.
I really hope your and our dream of babies come true
    best of luck xx

Tammy..... I'm also in NSW and am considering surrogacy too, as both my own eggs and donor eggs haven't worked so far. But from a little bit of reading, it seems that surrogacy in NSW and Qld is illegal if you go overseas for a surrogate and bring the baby back (like that program on ABC the other night about surrogacy in India). Just google "surrogacy nsw" and it comes up with a few sites with the legal side of things. I will be researching more, and may eventually contact some lawyers to find out if there's any way around it (without having to move to another state!!).

Altruistic surrogacy is legal in all states of Australia. Some states do not allow surrogacy for same sex couples or singles.

Trust.... thanks for that. I'm only at the beginning of researching this part of my journey, so I've got a lot to find out. The website about Surrogacy NSW that I was reading did even say that you can't even give a gift to the surrogate as that's seen as a financial incentive - seems very strong, but I guess most people would just give the gift quietly.
