So with your bundle - obviously you use the capsule for the car, but how long roughly til you would need to buy a car seat? Am I right in thinking that you can buy car seats suitable from birth these days? I was looking at a mountain buggy bundle type thing, but then wonder if it's indeed worth bundling if you have to buy a car seat down the track!

We really just need something easily enough controlled with one hand so the dogs can be wrangled with the other. Not sure if a 3 wheeler or 4 is going to be better for that!
We went with a car seat rather than a capsule from birth. It was hard enough trying to choose a capsule and pram system, we didn't want to have to repeat the experience with a car seat when bub was 6 months old. So we just went straight into a car seat. We didn't want to be limited in our pram choice by which capsule was compatible with it.
If you know your prices and what tot want , the baby expos can be a good place to pick up a good deal especially if you're good at haggling. Most expos have free tickets if you sign up to their mailing lists too.

Yeah the seat lies flat so you can use that from newborn or get a carry cot to use on the pram instead. We decided we would just use the seat from newborn because bub will grow out of the carrycot too fast to warrant the $350. You can use a universal newborn insert as well to make it snug for them.

It's expensive but has the option to convert to a double and it's a bit of a luxury pram in how smooth it is to "drive".

We also put a car seat on lay by that does from newborn to 4yrs because everyone said whilst capsules are convenient if bub is asleep, bubs grow out of them too fast and then you have to go buy a car seat anyway. The car seat we got was the safe n sound millenia (pebble grey) which won an award for safety recently as well.

We've used a car seat from birth because we couldn't be stuffed with a capsule. We used an infasecure kompressor 0-4 seat which DS still fits rear facing in, but we've bought him a safe n sound maxi guard which will keep him harnessed until at least 8, and Bub will go into his seat.

Default Same sex parents or parents to be chat!

We got a relatively cheap pram compared to the bugaboos etc but it lays flat like a bassinet when babe is small then has a clip underneath to turn it into a seat. It's nice and big yet really easy to manoeuvre and has a huge basket underneath. Can face towards us or face out and can attach another seat underneath.
I think it's called a rverse xlr from toys r us.
Ds1 hated the pram and almost never went in it (I wrapped instead) but ds2 loves it so far so we've used it more this time.

We only got the bassinet attachment but this photo shows a smaller capsule and a 2nd seat option.

That's pretty cool! I like the ones that have seats that convert so bassinet and vice versa. There is an icandy that does that too but unfortunately doesn't allow for a second seat which is why we went the peach.

We are counting on bub liking the pram because it will be summer and too hot to wear bub!! As much as it would be nice, I think baby wearing would hard when it's hot and would probably lead to overheating.

DS was the same! And I will still wrap this babe most of the time I reckon, but a pram will be handy with two when you need to chase the toddler around and put baby down somewhere!

Is sonny very different personality wise to Noah? I'm wondering what we are in for this time!

We have a 0-4 yr car seat, didn't bother with a capsule.

Well i hit the deck at work today! Was doing training for CPR/ ALS , & after doing CPR just couldn't get enough breath at all. Ended up on my knees on the floor trying to suck in air for all i was worth.... not fun! 😫 came good after a few minutes and was able to continue the training - albeit a bit less enthusiastically. Bit nervous to tell G - she might say it's time to leave already!

Yes thanks! Much better now. I've been running a bit short of breath in general - from sparkle using up my oxygen faster than i would myself... doing exertion like CPR - which is hard work for a healthy non pregnant person- i simply didn't have enough oxygen to keep going
