Was looking up the forms for registering a birth in NSW and it looks like it's just going to be Parent 1 & Parent 2 on our bub's birth certificate. I found another one which is a form to amend details on a birth certificate and that gives you the option for what the 'other mother' can be titled. Ie 'other parent' or 'mother'.

Can anyone advise what is on their childs birth certificate/which state you're in?

Was it easy going to BDM? I think we'll opt for that so its all done properly first up.

Yep, it was Toby's first outing. I could be wrong but I think it's done through service NSW now.

In wa, we sent the blank birth Cert back and asked for a same sex parent one. The new form says mother and mother as does his birth Cert. We will do the same for baby#2

We had to go in to BDM in WA apparently they don't send the same sex ones out anymore. It was pretty quick though. We got to have Mother and Mother, you could choose mother and parent if you wanted.

When was this? We were told just a few weeks ago that we had to send the standard one back and then they would send us a same sex one.

It was in 2014, they told us they wouldn't post them anymore! Maybe they've changed it again.
