Default Is the mini pill enough?

I've been on the mini pill for a month now due to very heavy AF since giving birth (have had 5 now -DS2 is 10 months old). I'm still Bf morning and night/during night feeds, so not much at all. I have been having regular AF, should I trust the mini pill of should we use condoms as well when DTD? I'm scared of falling pregnant just yet.

Also wondering how many people have actually fallen preg whilst on the mini pill (it took us 12 months ttc to fall preg with dS2 so not overly fertile IMO lol) as I've heard it isn't overly effective!

I'm hopeless with remembering- I'll have three good weeks of taking it on time, then accidentally miss a day, then be late the next day etc. etc!

It's the only contraception we rely on, and so far so good

I'm not keen on having another baby either. In fact, I am done having children but until I can get DD to wean, I'm stuck on the mini pill. Seems to be going ok so far, but I always tell DF to cool it if I've had one of my messed-up weeks!

I was on it for 2 yrs after dd and I didn't get my period at all. It was great!

I changed to the depo needle I had trouble remembering the pill and got scared. Then the depo gave me my period for 1.5mths so now I'm on a normal pill 😃

I fell pregnant with number 4 when I was on the mini pill, still breast feeding and using condoms as well. I am very good at remembering to take my pill everyday at the same time so it was a massive shock when I fell pregnant. I definitely did not want another and spent most of my pregnancy wishing I wasn't pregnant but she's nearly 2 weeks old now and I'm totally in love with her

We're planning on using the mini pill plus withdrawal as an extra precaution!
