    Default Baby safe mosquito repellant?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but...

Can anyone suggest a baby safe mosquito repellant? They keep getting in through our fly screen (and we rent so I can't do anything about that) and even though it's winter we're still getting them. Just woke up to find that my month old daughter has been bitten and has a big red mark on her face and I'm really upset... I have citronella patches stuck to the bed but that doesn't seem to help.

    Any suggestions??

Edited to add - I really want something I can plug in/spray in the room, rather than something to put in the baby...

    TIA!

Two of my kids are allergic to mosquito bites and last summer I bought a plug mosquito repellent which worked really well. It was just a baygon product I got at the aupermarket. It had strips in it and once plugged into a switch lasted for hours (days).

Have a look in the insect repellent section at your supermarket. There were a few brands. Good luck.

I think most of the products at the supermarket will be "baby safe" but still contain all the nasty chemicals. If the mosquitos are that bad and the fly screen is damaged talk to the property manager to get it fixed, as it's obviously affecting the amenity of your family.

Thanks guys! I'm probably being an over cautious first time mum! We're only getting the odd one, but they're really annoying. You're probably right that we should see whether the landlord will replace the worst screens.

A company called Vanilla Mozi does creams and candles.

Mum recently bought DS some vanilla mozzi cream. It works for us, and has the benefit of smelling awesome. I haven't tried anything else they make, but with how well their cream works I'd try their whole range.

Thanks for your replies - good to have recommendations. Thank goodness the baby didn't really react to the bite (perhaps it was something other than a mozzie? It was deffo flying though).
