Many thanks JoJo. I will get on to our bank tomorrow. Otherwise, Citibank here we come. It is a more well known institution.

Mardi - thanks also for the useful info. I shall see what our bank can do for us. As for the depot, the tracking suggests that it has hit our shores. I would hope it will be delivered to my FS tomorrow. I shall let you know.

Thanks Laned. I just found out that my Australian FS sent the wrong script AGAIN and so I ended up emailing CFC tonight in the hope they can send the pharmacy a script tonight. Worried it will take too long to get here if I have to get my FS to send it again...

Blinky - that's great news. We received treatment plan within a day or so of screening. The only outstanding item was the results of the AMH which we had to wait for.

Mardi - I set out all the required info and details in an email and sent it to CFC so they could just copy and paste it.

    Hi ladies,

I haven't been on this site much at all. I'm wondering whether there is a private Facebook page for this group. My specialist has suggested I go to Cape Town for donor eggs which I am thinking about doing. I think after 25 IVF cycles it may be time that I face reality that I can't use my own eggs although I am struggling with this.

    Hi Lisa - Welcome!
I have found some FB groups dedicated to egg donor cycles but the ones I found were very focused on Australian donors and known donation. There was one I was following but it became pretty clear, pretty quickly that they didn't appreciate the perspective of those who go overseas for DE cycles.
TBH I feel safer here expressing views and asking questions...

    Thanks Blinky,

I have the app on my phone so it may be easier for me to use that. Yes I don't want to be a part of a group on FB that don't like us for going overseas for DE so I will stick here if that's ok.

I am so overwhelmed with the info I got from Cape Town and what I have to do I don't know where to start. My current FS Lynn Burmeister from Monash IVF recommended I go to them. I am going to be hopefully be doing a frozen cycle with my last embryos before Christmas that I had frozen with Tas IVF (I have never done a frozen cycle before all my 25 cycles have been fresh cycles) and if that fails I will be going to Cape Town early next year. I want to be well prepared before Christmas if my last cycle here fails. I believe the first thing I need to do is find a donor. I was given a list of agencies from Cape Town Fertility Clinic. Can anyone tell me whether there are photos available with donors as its very important to me that I can find someone with similar features to me. Also which is the best agency to go to to find the donor?

I am so relieved I found this page. I have never been overseas before and I'm just about to send off to get my passport.

    Oh how annoying Mardicharli.
It took a while to get our treatment plan & once I emailed them to request it they sent it straight away. Said they're very busy at the moment.
We're looking for quotes on car hire & travel insurance now. We just want a small run around car so probably looking at being $40 per day.
I'm getting excited! One week to go to stop taking the OCP. I can't wait, I hope there's good news for us November girls!

    Hi Lisa,

I was with Lynn too - perhaps go back and have a read through these threads on bub hub (although it's quite an investment in time as they are long and there are 6 now but it is really helpful.

Use the list CFC provided for agencies, they recommend those agencies for a reason and they are all accredited. You get to see childhood photos of donors but not adult photos, and the donor provides a background medical and family history - some agencies have more elaborate profiles than others. Egg Donation South Africa is affiliated with CFC (just so you're aware) although at the end of the day I'd advise to go with the donor you really like and don't worry which agency they are with as long as they are on the accredited list - after all that's what really matters.

Lynn should have already done most of the tests you need to send them off ASAP just so CFC have them - as they do go on the 'go slow' over Xmas with some of the doctors taking Xmas leave so easier to have it all sent over before the silly season. Lynn also takes a heap of time off over xmas so better to tee up now any tests you may need to do again. I did my cycle in March and organised it all in Dec.

    All the best
    Emma

Lisaxxx I believe @emski is also with Lynn? May be why she recommended Cape Town.
The info can be overwhelming and probably more so when you haven't fully come to terms with it as an option...
But in all honesty CFC make it very easy. There are a few agencies you can work with just make sure they are accredited (SARSEG) and you should be fine. All the ladies (&gent) are a wealth of knowledge so feel free to ask all the Q's you like.
Some of us have been fortunate enough to catch up in Cape Town and meet IRL.... Emski and I were even on the same flight from Singapore!
