Thanks every one for your kind wishes! I still cannot believe that after years of IVF with DE, it only took me 1 attempt to get pregnant in CT. They put something in the water there for sure! Lots of baby dust for everyone!

    Hi all,

Blinky76 - what you are feeling is totally normal. Before I embarked on our second trip I was feeling very negative (and during our cycle, as it was far from ideal), but as you know anything can happen. I focused on having a great holiday in a place I love. It also helps to remember that if you do nothing, then nothing will ever change and that by going back you may just change your destiny. I really hope it works this time for you and DH

Tittle - the exact same thing happened to us at our first scan. We had mixed emotions - elation at seeing a heartbeat and sadness at seeing the smaller lifeless twin. It is quite common and our specialist advised that I could bleed or the twin would be absorbed. Thank goodness I have had no bleeding. Thinking of you

Babydreamer - thank you for popping back in and sharing your story. I pray it works second time around for you. Good luck

AFM - Doing fine, lots of movement and counting down to the big day

All the best to those about to travel and for those still donor searching

Hi all. Couple of questions please.

i want us to do the safari whilst in CPT. But want to do it as a day trip. Is it advisable? Will we still have fun? And what's the cheapest option to use? Go via the hotel?

next one, it will be DH's birthday whilst in SA. What can we do as a form of celebration? Maybe a really lovely resturant? I think I read somewhere about a good world acclaimed resturant? Thank you so much ladies. 2 more sleeps to go.

Seahorse - it is such an emotional roller coaster. Here's hoping your little '8' cell is now booming in mumma. We too had a remarkable drop off rate, and ended up with none to freeze. Thankfully we had one strong little emby that stuck and is our beautiful little 16 mth old man. I hope your dreams come true. Be kind to yourselves. X

Thanks Blinky for the info on travelling with meds. Now for my next area of concern - assuming we get a number of embys for transfer - how many to transfer. I've done 2 embys on cycles here in Aust. but my eggs were dodgy. So worried that if we do 1 it won't take, but if we do 2 and I worry about if I could carry them to term. I'm 41 - so no spring chicken I guess. I don't necessarily expect anyone to have answers, it's just nice to have a group of people who understand. Good luck to you all.

    Hi Seahorse1,

    Just wanted to wish you

My bub who is kicking me right now was a day 3 embryo and a back up from the egg bank as my original donor's cycle went pear shaped. He has made it so far against all odds

As others have said in the past 'miracles happen in Africa'

Seahorse - congrats on being PUPO! I hope January's little fighter inspires you. It only takes one. Fingers crossed that you also get some frosties. I reckon you will.

Patsy - Exciting that your flights are booked. I bet you are counting the days down now. Looks like there are quite a few going in November.

Sunflower - congrats on team blue! Lots of twin news lately. I wonder if anyone has ever had boy/girl twins from DE?

Blinky - I have read your email and your signature. I am sorry you are feeling so low about going back. I understand it cannot be easy. But from looking at your signature you were so incredibly unlucky & unfortunate to not get anything to transfer the first time. That must have been devastating & I don't blame you for feeling like this. But the chance of you having another bad cycle is so low. In fact the odds are that it will work this time! Be positive it's going to work!!

KLM & Jiks - good luck for your trips this week.

January - thanks for updating the roll call.

    Hi to everyone else.
