Sorry, KLM, I don't understand the stats then. Didn't add up to 12 for me. Never mind though. Great that you have such a choice.

KLM: Good luck with the TWW. Those numbers sound good, though.

Seahorse: Glad it's all moving forward for you in Durban. Seeing as the choice of donor is so important to this process, sounds like a good decision to have treatment there.

As for us, my other half took his sperm 'sample' along to our GP's surgery this morning to get tested. Turns out the GP had got the process wrong and he needed to take it to another pathology lab at a specific time. Said it was quite embarrassing as the receptionist had to relay all of this in front of everyone else in the waiting room... Bit irritating though as he's now got to wait three days before he can try again...

Very sad to be leaving Cape Town today! Had such an amazing time here and we don't want to leave! But I guess it means I get to find out soon if it's a positive or negative.

    Hope everyone is well.

Hi all. So we're slowly getting all our test results together but I've just realised that my doctor didn't request a Prolactin and TSH blood test so I'm going to have to go back again (should have checked the referral). I've also noticed that the medical questionnaire asks for 'day 21 progesterone' which wasn't on the other information sheet CFC sent me? I'm guessing these are needed? Might shoot CFC an email to double-check.
The hunt for a donor continues, bit stressful, actually. I'm rapidly realising that my search criteria is perhaps a little too strict (under 25, non-smoker, donated before) so am debating which is more important. Just want to get on with it, now.
Anyway, thanks for listening. Hello to everyone.

One step closer to SA. Second ET with my sister's donor eggs was a BFN on the HPT. Official BT test not actually until Monday. Two more frosties with her donated eggs, then it will be all systems go for SA, I'm thinking Xmas or January. Time to start my research in those directions and gathering info.

Patsy, when I asked they told me not to bother about the day 21 progesterone as they will supplement your progesterone anyway. Best to double check though.

I am in the process of selecting a donor and notice that quite a few are smokers and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share if they had selected a donor that smokes and had received a positive result.
Thank you again and wishing you all success.
Hi CJhoping, sorry for the delayed response but thought better late than never...
I also found the same that majority of the donors we liked were smokers which we were against. In the end we did choose a smoker, however, she was 29, proven donor, out of 5 donations three had resulted in live births (including 1 set of twins), she didn't drink, exercised 5x a week, took mulit vitamins and said she would stop from time of choosing through stim cycle (which was approx 2.5 months). She ticked every other box and I can happily report i am currently 11weeks pregnant with twins and we have 1 frostie.
Choosing your donor is the toughest part and i wish you all the best with your search.

January, big thanks for the roll call and congrats on 18 weeks and baby boy, nearly half way, very exciting!

MGCBertie, keeping everything crossed for Monday. SA is a great back up but still keeping positive for you if not this cycle with your other frosties.

Luca, glad you discovered your passport in time, not long now.

KLM, WOW, that is awesome news on your frosties and hoping your little one is getting comfy.

Seahorse1, we chose our donor through nurture and they have been great and i trust they have put you in safe hands in Durban. I have good friends from Durban and believe the city is nice and safe like CT. roll on September for you.

Net3811, sorry to hear about your rebate being knocked back, so frustrating and hope you start feeling better soon.

Patsy73, may be worth shooting CFC an email just to double check before you go back to the Dr's to save on trips. Poor hubby, that i frustrating about his sperm sample. Hopefully everything will fall into place shortly for you. choosing your donor is the hardest and most important decision you make so it needs be right for you both, take your time you will know when you find them.

AFM, nausea is still lingering and anxiously waiting our 12.5 week nuchal scans a week monday.

    xx
