Thanks ladies. While I wish none of us had to be here, it's so nice to have a place to come for support and understanding. Nezz thanks for the super organised roll call! You are a star.

So I was thinking, what do you do before transfer? Do you eat pineapple, use chinese herbs, do accupuncture, exercise much? Interested to know what each of your routine is and if you think it helps (physically and mentally)?

@freakedout44 did we cycle together in november? Thought I recognised your name.
@KitiK I don't do anything really, just try and be healthy and not exercise too hardcore until I feel better, which usually takes a good week after EPU. I have a bit of a fatalistic attitude really. As long as I'm not too crazy, that embryo is going to work or it isn't and there isn't a lot I can do about it really. Although, there is a bit of a tradition in this household of visiting a really great pie shop in newtown after EPU. After the embryo transfer itself I go home or go back to work (and start stockpiling POAS)......

Yep Bongly, we certainly did. I think I've also done a cycle with Nezz too from memory.
Kitik - I've tried everything yoga, herbs, acupuncture, doing nothing at all lol! I'm with Bongly, I think as long as you look after yourself - plenty of sleep, reasonable diet, try stay positive etc its the best way to go. If its going to happen, it will happen. Acupuncture is a great way to relax, is supposed to improve chances, but can get expensive. I love the idea of a pie date though! Might have to remember that one for this round.

Yes @freakedout44 we have cycled before oct/nov. I've done many cycles over this last year: July August November January and March. I also recognise a few names from some of those cycles too! @Bongley @Butterfly39 So sorry we are all still here. Let's make this month our lucky month and get our BFP.

Thanks @Nezz! I have a really good feeling about this thread.
Tomorrow I'm going in for a hysteroscopy to make sure there are no reasons at my end of things as well, which may be contributing to our issues and stopping IVF/ICSI from working. I'm also having a d&c - to 'freshen up'. I am so nervous about it - I've see the sticky about the syndrome that can result, but my fs assures me it is safe enough and said that it has helped improve success rates for some women. Has anyone had any experience, or know of anyone who has, with having a d&c purely for the purpose of helping create a better environment for your emby?
On another note, where is everyone from? Any Melbourne ladies?

@freakedout44 I have done the scratch but my FS didn't want to do that again he said if that didn't work there's no point having another. D&c will be my next step if this FET doesn't work I had a friend that had a d&c after a year of ivf failure then on her 1st attempt after d&c BFP. I should have asked this time for it but wanted to try one last time and coz FS wasn't interested in doing the scratch again thought what's the point. I'm in Perth.

I had a D&C and a laparoscopy to remove endo and the cycle after that was successful. I've had some chemicals since then (none before) so I think it did really help with implantation. Just need a magic bullet for my old eggs now......

Wow I didn't know a D&C could be used to help implantation. I'd heard of a scrape and had that with a biopsy done in May. Might ask the FS about D&C if this cycle doesn't work. I shudder to think how little would be changed/done if it wasn't for doing my own research and suggesting things to my FS!
