I'm going with a no-frills clinic this time, pretty different to my last IVF, and I'm starting to get preeettty scared about EPU . I think I only get panadeine forte and gas, maybe valium? TBH I don't remember what I had last time, but I am pretty sure I was totally knocked out, I don't remember a thing. Has anyone had experience with an egg pick up while awake/only lightly sedated?

    Thanks
I think scubagal has.... Have a chat to her

Hey Ladies... Thanks for all the love today... I think I have been pretty much in a daze most of the day... FS said originally nothing more until scan day, but when I got home a few mins ago from a day out I realised I might want to get things a bit more closely monitored as I do have Hypothryoidism and I don't want that to go hay wire...

Got a huge hug from my GP today as we actually had to go do some IT work for him today... So that was unexpected... And he didn't say anything about doing anything further at this stage... But might email him the questions as well and see what he thinks we should do...

Now have to find an OB ... As GP told me I will be classified as "high risk" as I have been through ivf
And won't be able to use the really cool birth centre here at the townsville general hospital ... So now onto more research....

Anyone from townsville or know of any good ob that aren't going to force me to do a cesarian... Natural if possible for me...

@Soques Are you in Townsville? Dr Lucinda Pallis or Dr Renee. They both work alongside Qld Fertility Group as well as private gyno/OB. Highly recommended

U shouldn't be classed as "high risk" just for doing ivf. Sorry I don't know ur ttc journey so maybe there are other reasons such as ur hypothyroid issues. But if not u should be free to choose what u want most. I'd check with ur FS. My FS set me free for my first preg, which was a spectacularly normal pregnancy I hope yours is too
