My gosh this thread has moved so fast in a couple of days!! It's hard to keep up! @ScubaGal - all the best for your EPU today and (anyone else also having EPU)

Good luck to all those having transfers. And hope all of you in the tww are keeping busy!!

Welcome to all the newbies! I'm also a newbie - picking up meds tomorrow.

quick question - does anyone know what cycle day EPU is usually on ? (Trying to plan a few things which is pretty much impossible at the moment!).

Good luck @ScubaGal. I suspect you'll be fine if you're having a local - the pain meds they give you eliminate any pain whilst at the clinic, it's afterwards it'll hit you - I've been pretty immobile since my pickup. Plus incredibly constipated which is putting awful pain and pressure on my back also experiencing tummy pain when I wee - made a dash to the shops this morning in my trackies and uggs and bought pear juice, prune juice and cranberry juice. The lady looked at me funny so I must have been screaming 'IM CONSTIPATED!!' Ah well I hope it works!

Got all my meds after a quick flight to Brisbane just stuck waiting for Wazza for a letter for travel with the drugs.

It's all on for me as soon as AF arrives.

    Thanks Grace.

Re. Your timing question - that's what I've found stressful throughout this because it will differ from woman to woman.

However as a guide I think I've been fairly average, average meds, average response. So if you count my first injection as day1, I triggered on day 10 and today is EPU on day 12.

    Hope that helps.

Ree888- it will be interesting to see the difference. I'm doing half ICSI half natural (pending a good amount of eggs) so I will be able to give feedback on ICSI vs natural for normal semen. What was ur reason for getting your sperm from America?

Scubagirl- Thankyou, very glad to get started. Feels like such a long drawn out process. I guess the medication strength depends on ur fs, I was on clomid 150mg with a day 21 progesterone of 2, I think I have stubborn ovaries. Good luck with the retrieval Hun

Akakura- my fs said he was going to start me on low doses as he think I am high risk of hyper stimulation syndrome as I had 80+ cysts on ultrasound. Does seem like my dose is still a reasonable one. Is 10-15 the average target eggs?

Grace1- I would also like to know what day epu is. Good luck with meds, I think that's when it all gets very real

    Anyone with monash ivf Geelong?

So many comments I missed one.
KitiK- thanks, helps hearing the success stories too. I'm ok with trying ICSI even though sperm is ok, if it increases our chances then it's worth a go. When are you planning to thaw and try again?

    Hi all,

Firstly, welcome to the newbies! All the best for your cycles.

I have been reading along in the background and it looks like a lot of you are traveling along nicely. Sending out lots of positive sticky vibes for all the upcoming transfers.

I had to laugh at the comment about the bed sheet thin pads. I have the opposite issue at my hospital - we get given surf boards so I always take along my own now.

AFM - had my first scan yesterday. 8 good sized follies on each side, plus quite a few more littler ones. FS is upping my dose slightly, I'm having another scan on Monday and it looks like EPU will be Wednesday.

In hingsight I would have icsi'd more, but the outcome is just unknown. I was dissapointed to loose half of my eggs because of sperm issues - oh well. We should be on CD1 tomorrow (fingers crossed...) looking at an August 6 transfer date (if our bub thaws and all tests, hormones, lining etc) are good....

It is such a variable process. Your results can change from month to month and you haven't changed anything at all, very frustrating. I Hope AF is kind to you and fingers crossed your bub likes the warm and august 6 is ur special day xxx
