Also thank you so much for all the well wishes ladies, I feel so lucky. It is so nice to be able to share the news on this forum instead of keeping it a complete secret until 12 weeks!

Question: are any of you runners? I am not terribly fit, but I do like do run and swim a few times a week. I only run short distances, from 3 to 5 km. My FS and doctor here in Thailand have discouraged me from running, they've told me to relax and avoid strenuous exercise. I think it's rubbish though, I think after the 2WW you can run the same amount you used to before becoming pregnant? Any opinions on this? I will admit, however, that when I became pregnant with my DS I was so freaked out about possibly having a miscarriage that I did not run during my whole pregnancy and I regretted it.

@canuck28, I wouldn't run, walk instead - it is just as healthy for you and better on your joints as hormones soften them making you more prone to injury (just my opinion, if I did and something happened I would forever question myself) but you need to do what is right for you. I'd say keep swimming :-) and enjoy your pregnancy!

@canuck28 congratulations! I think in terms of exercise you can continue doing what your body is already capable of - ie if you can comfortably run then run, but maybe bring your intensity and distance down a bit because your body will be working hard to make a tiny human. I think what you're supposed to avoid is any kind of sudden increase in activity or new fitness regime.

Just a quick question - has anyone else suffered persistent cramps and back pain whilst stimming? I'm on my last day with egg pickup tmrw, and since yesterday, I have Had constant cramps and lower back pain and aches to the point that I cannot get comfortable at all. The tummy cramps are borderline AF like but the back pain I've never felt before! Hoping it's because I have lots of eggies ready to go...
