Is this normal numbers or is there something I am missing here. I wondered if they triggered me too late since EPU would ideally have been on a Sunday! I was on 225iu puregon and at day 6 I had a lead follie at 18mm, with 7 follicles total. The next day it was 22mm and the others varying (17mm, 15mm, and a few 11mm ones)...I triggered on day 8 & had EPU on day 10. I am new to this but is it possible we lost the good one (it was past it ) ? Or if they are immature will they just not fertilise? We had good fert rate of 80% but nothing to show for it! I am 35. Hubbie 31. I have high NK cells, an AMH of 8 and both hubbie & I are homo MTHFR ! Any advice appreciated.. We were hoping to bank some embryos for perhaps future surrogacy if we can't get my NK cells down enough. Thanks in advance!
Hi @Simoney, the first IVF cycle is usually a bit of a trial run and everyone responds differently. My first resulted in 13 eggs, but only 1 made it to Day 3 and not even to blastie, so don't beat yourself up over the results. When you are triggered also depends on how your follicles are developing. Sometimes the doctor may forgo banking your chances on 1 lead follie and opt to develop more follicles (this was the case in my previous cycle) - IVF is usually a numbers game and some FS will even advise against undergoing the EPU for just one follicle.

@Rachael3 how are you feeling did AF show up. Stay strong girl keeping hopes high for you.
@nightchild80 congratulations that looks very positive super happy for you.

Me well AF is officially 1 day late. Without getting my hopes up this is extremely rare because i am quite lucky when it comes to be "regular". It scares the crap out of me how many cramps and back pains I am having because it feels like AF is playing with my head and is going to surprise me at any stage. I have still resisted the ridiculously strong urges to POAS but I'm starting to think I should just do it and then my brain can chill the heck out! I am so scared of being disappointed I'm putting myself through hell!

Hope everyone is staying strong and well

@Crazycat no AF hasn't showed but now I just want it here so we know where we are at. Definitely a chem preg, the HCG has to drop before AF shows. BT tomorrow.

Good luck to you, well done for holding off. You need to do what works for you.

Yeah but you're being really smart and protecting yourself from getting too carried away early. Hang in there!
