hi laddies sorry Ive kinda disappeared just been trying to deal with our last 2 failed cycles! and DS has been sick so bit of a mad house! Made me so happy to come and see some bfp congrats ladies and big hugs to to the laddies that haven't had things go to plan xxx

I am coping alright I no we will be able to try again and we will get bub no2 but DH isn't coping as well and I am lost what to do with him he won't talk to me or his best friend about it and it's really affecting him (he's the reason why we have to do it) I just wish he would stop blaming himself no matter what I say! is anyone with Melbivf and do you no if we can still access their counselling services for free or is that only for during the cycle there's no extra cost!? we don't have a lot of money at the moment so it would be hard for us to be able to pay for a number of sessions! tia xx

@Bellavista 3 frosties that is so awesome! I completely understand how you would feel as we only ever got 1 frostie out of 3 stim cycles. To have 3 in the freezer would make such a difference to your stress levels, well done!

@newbeee22 I'm sorry your DH is struggling. MFI is so hard on their egos and its not something they feel comfortable talking about so i know how hard it is. Just lots of reassurance and positivity is all you can do Hun. It's a personal journey they have to work through in there own way. Sometimes a bit of space and time away from thinking about it can do wonders.
I can say though that if he gets a referral from his GP he can get 6 psychologist sessions upto $75 each on Medicare. He would only need to pay the top up. So mine costs $120 so its only about $50 out of pocket or so.

Wishing you the best. I've been there with a DH who isn't coping so I really empathise xx

thank you hun I will try to get him to go if not I'll get it for him from our gp! you are compeltly right! he's always been a confident guy outgoing and bubbly and when we found out it was him and not me which i was completely shocked about i still am! I saw him drop a little bit but cause we got pregnant from our first cycle he went back to himself but now after the 2 FET fails and no more frosties he's just gotten so down on himself and takes his Anger and frustration out on everything! let's hope I can get him to see someone so he can talk!

p.s I saw you got 18 frosties hun that is amazing u must be wrapped! hope your good and all the best for your transfer xxx

what would be the next step after two failed fet cycles?!
we have 3 blast left. I'm not keen on transferring them each month without any investigations as to why they don't take

@Someday mama hope you get good news from your BT today.

I'm also trying work out next step for us. Our FET this month got cancelled due to both thawed embro's not surviving/growing to transfer. We still have 1 frozen but I think we are prob looking at whole new stim cycle next month... Makes me feel ill thinking about all the money we've spent so far and haven't even successfully transferred any.

Stim cycle 1 cancelled due to low response
Stim cycle 2 - 22 eggs so ET postponed due to ohss risk. Only 3 embryos good enough to freeze ( 6 fertilised)
FET cycle - both our thawed embryo's didn't make it to transfer

I also wish I knew what we could test/do to try and increase our chances rather than just repeat.

    I'm 32, dh 36, mfi

Feels good writing all this out, just wanted to agree with you - this is hard! Hopefully you get happy news today

@Bluemeeple, @Someday mama and anyone else dealing with mfi have u got ur dh's on vitamins? I put DH on a lot of vits and we got a lot better success with our 2nd stim. It takes 90 days for sperm to be made (it is a continuous process of course). I've got him on them again now while we also go thru FETs just incase they don't work. DH is on menevit, vit e, c, selenium, GNC gold multivitamin. I'm also on vit bs, c and e and vitex.

Our mfi androlgy dr was amused when I told him I put DH on all these vits he didn't think it would help but said it wouldn't harm him either. I think it really helped us.

Had another BT this morn, I am 6 weeks Hcg levels have been very low so I hope they have picked up. Another scan next week with my FS this time, hope we see a hb....

Hi girls regarding MFI here is a list of what Wazza had my DH on and the difference in his sper this itme was from exceptionally poor and a fert rate of 6 out of 17 and none made it to transfer. To 11 out 12 and 5 blasts 2 in me and 3 in freeze.
    • Aloe Vera Juice 20 mls at night
    • Zinc 40 mgs
    • >10 Pumpkin Seeds
    • Folic Acid 5mgs
    • Gogi Berries
    • Selenium 100mcg/day
Arimidex 1mg/day - prescription @Soques gave me a fabulous document regarding mediation to assist MFI and I believe it made a huge difference to @Soques and my DH.

    That's a great list @Bellavista I'm tagging @missalissa1987 for her info.

If only there was something that could be done for my DH who has MFI - antibodies 😞

Yep... We got 7 out of 7 fertilised. 1 in me that is BFP and 5 more in the freezer...

    My DH was taking the

Arimidex 1mg/ day for about 8 weeks before EPU - within 5 weeks sperm count went up from .3 million to almost 4 million and motility increased by 75%. Not sure hoe good it looked on day of EPU but must have been even better to get the results we got. We did ICSI. This also help increase testosterone for the guys... If anyone has a DH below normal or very low.

    Menavits

    Megafold 5

    Melatonin 3mg @ night

One clove of raw Australian purple garlic before bed

    ....

    I was on

DHEA 25 mg three times a day

    200 mg CoQ10 twice a day

Inostiol powder 2 grams twice a day

    3 mg Melatonin before bed

If anyone wants any further information please feel free to pm me.
