I was told that Medicare won't do back to back cycles so I have to wait for AF after EPU and then only on the next AF 4/5 weeks later can I start my FET cycle. Either that or lose the Medicare benefits and pay for a FET straight away which would be silly.
We have decided to book a mini break to Byron instead and try and keep busy while we wait. I think I'll feel more comfortable when I know I actually have embies to freeze!
Do you have PCOS? What dose are you? And last question, what's your TTC story?

Apologies for not welcoming all the newbies on here. A very belated welcome! I hope you all have perfect cycles like Miss @ScubaGal here **wink**

Hey hun I have done back to back FETs, so slightly different than stim then FET, but no probs with Medicare. After a failed stim cycle I did have to have a month between starting a FET cycle but this was coz my FS made me, said it's to let your ovaries recover (I was borderline ohss) and I did ov late the cycle after stim with short LP so it was good that I waited. Enjoy your mini Byron break!

Hello to all the newbies! I'll b back later for more personals

@amiracle4me I haven't heard anything about the payment yet, i will have a appointment with the clinic in Saturday morning I guess they will discuss with me about this.
We are in very similar situation, I do have PCOS TTC since June 2012, started my 1st IVF journey with PIVET in March 2013, 7 eggs retrieved, made 2 embryos no OHSS developed, day 3 embryo transferred, BT positive but heart beat stopped at week 8 FET cycle Sep 2013 no luck! Not happy with the clinic moved to Fertility North with Dr. Jay Natawala, April 2014 laparoscopy, left fallopian tube removed. July ICSI cycle, on Gonal-F 100 n cetrotide 250, 15 eggs collected 5 fertilized but OHSS developed. So this is my journey so far, don't know what to say, just hope one day our dream will come true!

    Thank you @ScubaGal and @GeorgieNE

After reading your comments I googled ‘crinone cramping’ and 1000s of hits came up, so I’m feeling reassured. Apparently it is really common?! Anyway, the pain has settled a lot this afternoon so I’ll just see how I go. Golly this process is put us through the ringer, doesn’t it? So many things that could be something bad – or totally normal, or anything in between. It’s enough to drive you spare!
@loulabubble and @mamaharriet Yay - great numbers for both of you!
@Amiracleforme and @bruyu Sorry to hear about the OHSS, it sounds like an awful thing to go through. Crossing fingers for super lucky frosties for you both.

Welcome to all the new ladies and wishing you quick and easy journeys. The wonderful people here have been such a great comfort to me – it’s a very supportive place

    Hi girls
One of ladies I supervise at work came to me today to tell me she's pregnant. I handled it well at the time (I'd been suspicious for a while), but driving home I nearly had a car accident (my fault) and once I got home I completely fell to pieces. There is now officially no one I know who is in a relationship and doesn't at least have a bub on the way.
I caught up with my best girlfriends on the weekend, I felt completely 'left behind by life' as they all chatted about their toddlers the whole breakfast. They didn't mean it, that is their life now so I guess I need to find a way to not let it get me down. DH did his best to pick me up after my 'meltdôwn' this afternoon, but I'm thinking seriously of going to a counsellor. I'm wondering if anyone has been to one a did it help?
    Thanks!

hi @GeorgieNE sorry to hear you've had a rough day. It is really hard when everyone is having babies around you especially if its so easy for them to conceive.

I'm a big believer in counselling to help you download some of the things you are feeling and just work through them - I've seen counsellors in the past for generalised anxiety and since starting IVF I've had two sessions with a counsellor my clinic provides who specialises in working with people dealing with fertility issues (and I'm booked in again tomorrow).

I think it really does help and I'd recommend it. A point to remember is it can sometimes take a few goes to find someone you click with - like all services some counsellors are better than others so ask around for someone in your area who specialises in this stuff (your FS might know) and test run them - remembering you can always switch.

Good luck with it. I think it makes a big difference.
