I would... Not sure why I got the 12...
@straycat - thanks for the headsup, I will call medicare today.
Just curious seeing as you are a fellow low amh-er - what medication/supps did lynn put you on? I thought nothing could really help egg quantity (as opposed to quality which I think can be improved). Does Lynn have any tricks for getting more eggs out of us? My last FS said she didn't think I'd ever produce more than one follicle (which is why she recommended we to to EPU as it was as good as it would get with me and I'm kind of glad we did because it fertilized and I had my first transfer done). I've heard monash are less likely to let you go to EPU with 1 or 2 follicles so I feel a tad worried Lynn may not either.
@Kelly70 For me Lynn did glance at my AMH but she gave me vitamins based on my bloods, so Vitamin D (which we all probably have low levels of) E, melatonin plus some drugs for my endo. So it will be customised for you based on bloods and history and maybe even age.
Can you up the egg quality? I am in the same boat as you. It is a wait and see unfortunately.
You are right in that if we do not have enough follicles our EPU will most likely be cancelled. I think Monash prefers to try a different protocol for next month to get more eggs. I have no idea as of right now as I am new as well. Maybe one of the ladies who have had a few cycles can tell us.
I am not sure when my next IVF cycle will start, waiting to hear back on what the plan is from nurse & Lynn.
I don't know too much about it but I know a clinic in Sydney also inject patients with HGH (human growth hormones) when doing IVF. It's in the clinical trial stage but so far great results.
Thanks @straycat - I'm on d and e already, plus my FS prescribed melatonin just a few weeks ago for the first time. I think there is research showing melatonin can help with egg quality. But I'm not sure anything can help quantity - although I'm sure lynn will let me know.
Can I ask how old you are and what your amh is? At 43 with low reserve for my age, less than 1 a year ago, goodness know that it is now, it's hard to stay positive! But you can only try.
@Sue77 @LilyPilly how does it feel to be PUPO? Are you coping ok? Fingers crossed!
@Kelly70@punkybee welcome and nice to have you guys on the thread, all the girls are awesome on here are awesome
@Grace1 @sophdask how are you guys coping? Is it BT today? Good luck!
@Flemo thanks for asking re my scan , I had it this am and have to have another on Saturday but all seems to be progressing ok. Hopefully less eggs than last time ( I never thought I would say that!) how are things with you? Are you due for another BT soon your numbers looked great!
@lileitak are you feeling better? It took me a good week to get over those procedures, endone was my best friend!
@KayzB so sorry to hear of your miscarriage but I'm glad you are in a better place now and feeling positive about continuing again- wishing you all the best
@gabriel how are you going?
@Kellyk77 I am so sorry to read your update. It is so hard.. Would you consider donor eggs or does FSH levels prevent implantation as well? Sending you big virtual hugs and wishing a miracle for you.
Sorry if I have missed anyone, so much going on on the thread .. Sending positive thoughts and good luck to you all..
Thanks babee waiting on BT results today... Great everything progressing for you. Hope everyone else is well.
All the very best Sophdusk.. Praying for a very positive result today....
how are you Flemo?
thanks Babee , ya I am feeling ok, just not trying to think anything. We have been through so many negatives that it's really hard to think anything positive...... It's good that your scan was all good and hopefully all goes acc to Lynn's new approach for you. Just wanting to ask one thing. When u did the SNP array pgd testing( the one in America) the same one which I did, I was told that if abnormalities are found , they can track the source of it plus also if the problem occurred before fertilization or after so that the next step can be planned accordingly.. Just wondering were you given this information?
praying for u and hopefully this cycle yield a positive result for u
@Sue77 no we were not told that. When we were given our results we were basically told that the abnormalities were most likely caused by maternal age. Lynn said she would have liked to have seen at least 1 normal one which is why this next stim is pretty important. We have to get 10 embryos to test (over 2cycles? ) then it's on to donor eggs if none are normal. I'm pretty over the whole process at the moment. It's causing stress between me and DH too as I don't think he realises the full extent of the stress /toll all these cycles take... Your results are certainly giving me hope though.. We just need a nice BFP for you so we can celebrate!
