She recommends we stim again at lower doses as the high number of eggs we got may have affected their quality (on top of my age)... Who knows ?! My head is all over the place. I went into the meeting thinking she would say donor eggs was the only answer for us and when I queried her on whether or not she thought we would have to do this she said she would like to test 10 more embryos then decide as long as we could afford to keep going through cycles.. The next cycle will be our 7th stim. I never thought I'd be doing so many cycles. I have been feeling pretty devastated, the idea of going through it all again is pretty hard to handle but I know we will.. We will probably transfer another 2 frozen while any freshies get tested but I worry about the quality of untested embryos now... So much to think about... Bring on Fiji I say! @Flemo everything is crossed for you tomorrow, so want to celebrate a wonderful result for you.. @sophdask welcome to the group. I had 3 cycles at Melbourne first and they were really a bit of a write off. I have a lot of confidence in Lynn and wish you all the best..
Sue Clexane is not the nicest injection it tends to leave bruises and is a little stingy but it's certainly bearable .. Haven't checked into the thread for a while I hope everyone else is doing ok... X
Oh that's **** **** and ****. Seven stims is right up there. I really feel for you xxx

It's a tough one they want you to get lots of eggs so there are more embryos to test but yes lynn has also said to me before that those higher retrievals can cause bad quality eggs. Hope you have an amazing time in Fiji. Hopefully you can clear your head a bit and have a break from all things ivf. Had my transfer tdy which lynn did. The embryo stuck to the cathetar thing and she had to try again. Pls let this sticky embryo be the one.
Congratulations on being PUPO!!! That must be a sign.. It's a sticky bubba.. Hurry up tww.. We are right there with you

    Hi Ladies,

Thanks for pointing me to the right forum.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Lynn last week after 13 month TTC with no luck. We're in the first stages of testing but it's SUCH a whirlwind. She's already booked me in for a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for me in a couple weeks.

    Has anyone had these done?

She does speak fast, but I think the hysteroscopy will help "clear me out" and then she'll give us another 3 months (assume DH's SA comes back normal) before going to IUI.

Is it me, or is surgery a bit full on before even getting blood / SA results?

We're obviously very keen to have a baby, since all my friends (even those in their late 30s) are conceiving in 2-3 months.

I'm 34.5 and DH is just about to turn 30. I'm secretly hoping it's him so I can avoid the surgery, Terrible I know.

    ~k x
