Thanks that makes me feel better it's weird how if I ever slip I really feel it internally, like a heavy feeling. I don't like that constant vague hunger on no carbs but I do love that cleaner lighter feeling I get from it.

Does anyone have a good low carb stuffed capsicum recipe?

I admit I am the biggest chocoholic so I need to ask. Exactly how much of the sugar free chocolate I posted about earlier can I eat a day without messing up?

Would 1 square dark chocolate satisfy you? I keep some in the freezer, I am a massive chocoholic but find 1 square is enough and doesn't kill the plan.

I'm also reading that too much protein can be turned into glucose by the body. Argh ffs what can I eat then? And how much? I'm so confused :/ I don't think I know what I'm doing at all. Is there any way to make this simpler to follow? I think I need to start from scratch again sigh..

Kara I believe it's just trial and error and finding what works for you. I have a friend who dropped 9kg by dropping refined sugar, another who lost 3kg by quitting dairy food. I have lost 6kg - in the beginning doing calorie counting and now I do not eat carbs after midday. Find your weakness - it's usually what you crave - I love fresh white bread, I I've potato and I love pasta and I still eat those thing in moderation, but only in the morning so my body has a chance to use the energy. If I have those things at night now, I wake up in the morning bloated, lethargic and sluggish. It's taken me years to realise this. I hope that helps.

Chocolate and sugar in general is my weakness for sure. I've never tried calorie counting it sounds complicated but I'm willing to give it a shot I just don't know where to start.

Where as for me, those things lead to binging so i cant have then at all and i lose weight well avoiding those things entirely.

Kara; maybe google it a bit and see what seems realistic for you.

I use My Fitness Pal - you can download the app or use it on the computer.
I also love chocolate, I found the worst thing was trying to replace it - so either go cold turkey, or reduce gradually. I went cold turkey on the chocolate until I no longer depended on it - and gradually reduced sugar until I no longer craved it. e.g. I use to have 2 sugars in my coffee, now I can't stand any sugar in coffee. Just start somewhere, no matter how small the change is. Good luck.
