It's the day before shopping and DH was at work so I had no car. I had a tuna sandwich bc I had no salad stuff, no eggs Ahh well, that's my major carb day for the week then.

I never realised there were so many carbs in milk. I can't drink it black!

You are off to a great start. Sounds like you will reach your goal.

What do you eat in a typical day?

    Subbing.

I've lost 6kg in 3 weeks by focusing on protein + low carb.

    Hi ladies !
I'm also doing a low carb diet. I'm having a musashi shake for breakfast, salad for lunch and then salad or steamed vegetables with chicken, meat or fish for dinner.
I walk 3-4 times per week approx 2 1/2-3km. My partner just purchased a powertec work station, so I'll do all my toning with that. I started the diet on 7/06/14 and weigh in each Saturday, first week I lost 2kg and aim to lose 15kg more to get back to pre pregnancy weight of 65kg. Cravings have kinda settled, but it is still hard. I haven't touched soft drink or junk food in 9 days so far 😊

I too was shocked when I found out how many carbs were in milk. I find it useful to pour 100ml of milk into a separate container (i used a baby bottle) and keep it separate in the fridge to use throughout the day. I was shocked at how much milk i was putting in each coffee. So many carbs! This method really helped me to cut down on milk, and only put a dash in each coffee.

The other big shocker for me in regards to carbs was sauces. There are 15g of carbs in a couple of tablespoons of bbg sauce. I used to add a squirt or two to some meals until i found out I was probably blowing my daily carb allowance just on sauce!

Seems I will have to drink it black. I'm an all or nothing person. It either has to have a decent amount of full cream milk or none at all lol

Thanks for the info, it has really helped.
