I will still restrict carbs after midday as that is when I am least active and most likely to store it as fat.

Also, for me if you look at what ive been eating in this thread, its sustainable. And people reach a plateau where they need to go to another length to lose. When i am at the weight i want which isnt the smallest i could be in my weight bracket) i'll eventually plateau and just stick with what I'm doing which will maintain which is what I've done in the past. I cant speak for people who are doing this more extreme than i am tho.

This is the last time i'll justify myself in the thread tho.

And that's completely fair enough. I was genuinely interested as (a) I'm basically vegetarian so low carb is hard for me and (b) I haven't followed low carb since Atkins came out which was a lifetime ago so was interested to see how it's changed.

I genuinely wish you guys all the best. I read the links that are posted and see so much meat I doubt I could ever do low carb 😩

If I ever get to a goal, which I'm not even sure what I want to aim for yet, at the moment it's out of the hundreds I will stick to low carb more protein but not restrict the way I am at the moment, my undoing last time I had Great success on lowcarb was getting pregnant and terrible morning sickness that only carbs semi helped then I slipped back into old habits and here I am again

When I get to goal weight, I will still stay low carb but will be easier going. Really, it's just a paleo diet. Vegetarians can still do low carb, they just have to stick to vegies, salad, cheese and tofu has lots of protein in place of meat.

No justification needed ZE. I haven't read all 44 pages of posts so didn't see you respond to the question before.

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far.

Yes I know I have looked into it but it's a serious amount of tofu. And you have to be very creative to make basically the same core ingredient taste interesting night after night.

One day when I'm not so consumed by work and a young family I might look into it a bit more realistically.

Michelle Bridges offers a vego plan. It's a lot less carbs than you'd be having now but still has things like toast, wraps occasionally.

I have tried many weight loss methods in the past. They have all been successful. My problem is I lose weight, then reward myself and spiral out of control again

Does anyone know of a better option than Metamucil? I just had some and looked it up and it's 6g of carbs for the teaspoon?
