Yep Kara. Once you hit ketosis and your body starts to burn fat instead of glucose, your appetite drops right off. 2kg seems to be a fairly common weight loss per week if you stick to it.

It's the end of the week grocey wise in our household, and it's been my undoing in the past. I end up hungry, can't be bothered going to the supermarket so eat bread etc. So I plan to go to the supermarket today to stock back up on eggs, deli meat and salad stuff.

Good plan. I think I'll do the same. I made avocado stuffed rissoles covered in melted cheese and then are them broken up in pieces of lettuce, I found them really satisfying. I'm going to make a batch up today for during the week.

    My eating plan for today

    bacon and eggs
    steak with cheese and egg
    hamburger no bun

The low carb hamburger works really well. I make a meat pat tie out of mince and onion, add a slice of melted cheese, egg, bacon, lettuce and tomato and a dollop of mayo. Yum

I just feel pretty blah physically and really look forward to feeling like my old self again body wise.
Welcome. In my opinion, low carb eating works really well when breastfeeding. This is because you can eat lots of meat, cheese, eggs and veggies. No need to go hungry.

What sort of things do you plan to eat whilst on the low carb plan?

naked burgers, I like that name. Much better than burgers without a bun. Extra onion is never a bad thing!

This is the one I've made for quite a while and I just change it up depending on what I have. I always cut it up and wrap with ice berg lettuce. For anyone who's interested Mark Sissons daily apple has loads of low carb recipes as part of the primal diet.
