Default Hi....I work from home but just found out that I am pregant with child number two....

Hi everyone I have just found out that I am pregant with child number two ....I have a nine month old ...I currently work from home and this has come as a surprise as I thought I would have one in a couple of years to save more....I am delighted of course but just wondering a couple of things in terms of finance-does anyone know if you have two children do the government if I dont qualify for paid maternity leave-how does the new supplement that has replaced the baby bonus work?

    Thanks guys....

I don't know about the supplement but you can still get ppl if you have done 330 hours over ten months working 8 hours a week every week or any 500 hours in a ten month period

Newborn supplement has replaced baby bonus. For 2nd and any extra babies its a $500 lumpsum payment and approx $38.50 per week for 13 weeks.

I wasnt eligible for ppl so during my pregnancy I stocked up on nappies, wipes, household essentials like toiletries etc.

Even if you work from home you could be eligible for PPL
