I cried, no howled, over these things for ages in the early years. Now when I think of it, I just shed a small tear, and just focus on the possibility of getting any baby in my arms (donor eggs would be great, but looking now into the real possibility of adopting or fostering, since there's only a couple of options left now and at some point we have to move on). Very sad, but it's becoming a reality.
    @MGC Bertie,
    I'm with you 100% sister! I feel exactly the same way!

    2.the howling heartbroken crying over the very real possibility of not having a genetic child. (we are looking into DE)

    Big love, strength and positive Mummahood to you on this tumultuous crusade xxoo

    If I were to start 10 days of injections on say CD3, does anyone know when they would start if it was only 6 days of injections? Would they be started at the same time but finish 4 days earlier - or start 4 days later, so on CD7 ? I'm trying to work out when my donor will be starting the drugs and what days her scans will be - I'm dying to find out how her progress is going !! EPU is Friday week, so 9 days to go..

    I always feel so conflicted when I come here ladies. I love reading your updates but I hate that so many are not having successes, or having success as quickly as we would all like. What a animal this TTC process can be!

    In terms of biological connection I can only keep reassuring you all that once you have a child (adopted, born to you, born to a surrogate) I am absolutely certain it makes 99.99% no difference about having or not having the DNA connection

    Ok I'm going to push my clinic in yet another direction. I've decided that if this donor egg cycle is not successful first go I'm going to try one last EPU straight after it. If I don't get any viable embies I will ask them to transfer a donor frostie assuming there are any left.
    I've asked them in the past if my previous epu's were unsuccessful could they use my frosties instead and they said they don't do that as the conditions for a fresh vs a frostie are not the same ?!? Why on earth not ??? I'll try to get some answers today. I hope everyone else is holding up well and thinking positive thoughts

    Hi ladies, lurking here. It's been ages since I've chimed in but I'm always following along.

    I am 22w1d now, but sadly have been in hospital on enforced bed rest for 2.5 weeks now after a big bleeding scare. I have a subchorionic hematoma that is stubbornly not absorbing. We are desperately hoping that it soon does and that it doesn't cause bub to come early.

    Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone wants 2 free tickets to the parents, babies and children expo in Melbourne this weekend? We obviously can't go now! If so, please PM me.

    Fx that haematoma starts to resolve Mrs Erin. You'd think after all the problems we have just getting pregnant everything else would go well. :screwy:

    My hopes and thoughts are with you @MrsErinR !!
    AFM, had my ultrasound this morning to check the lining thickness and its right on track. Apparently my donor had her first ultrasound this morning too - I must have just missed her
    Anyway, she has 9-10 follicles at around 9-11mm which is also pretty much on track. EPU is scheduled for Friday and so my 3 day transfer will be next Monday - wow the time is flying !!

    Hi to all
    I've been reading your posts, but keeping quiet, having a break before the next cycle. I start jabbing on Thursday, same protocol as last time. Had our best round with the menopur, and I've been seeing a naturopath, who's done some tests and found I have an overactive immune system. So we're treating that as well, been gluten & dairy free for 3 weeks now, upped my vitamin D, that was low too, and taking a couple of new supplements. Fingers crossed we have some success this time, as it could possibly be our last shot.
    Sorry to all who haven't been successful this time, hopefully we will all find success soon, no matter what path we are taking to get there x
