Leyshoja.... I've been following along on the Donor Eggs South Africa thread, in order to get ideas and start planning. Someone on there has been keeping a record of Bubhub women going to SA for DE, and recently added that their 2014 success rate was 56%. On one of their previous threads they had the stats for 2013 and they were also about that. I thought that this was really good, considering that those going to SA for DE, have obviously had many failed cycles here with their own eggs. It wasn't looking at how many eggs were transferred but rather how many successful attempts vs failed attempts. Definitely something to think about.

Faith.... very interesting cases pro and con for fostering leading to adopting. I really think that the home environment plays a very big part of who we are, but yes, I guess there's a part of everyone that can't be changed, e.g. if a child's super shy, or damage caused by drugs or alcohol during pregnancy. I would still do it though too. I've only known people who've fostered older children, so understand that many behaviours would already be ingrained.

If I was going for double donor I would go with California Conceptions. They have a 90% sucess rate.

Faith... where are California Conceptions?? California. I presume? I like those stats!!

Leyshoja... also meant to say that from initial enquiry to transfer, the SA women say it's between 2-3 months.

Best part about Cali Conceptions is 13k and if you don't conceive after 3 transfers, your $ back. WDA recommended them.

Yes, California it is. There is a forum on Baby center community just for people considering or using CC. The girls on the site keep their own stats and they reckon 90% is correct. It's a double donor program so only for those considering donor eggs and sperm. There is an even a thread that was started by the Aussies to help other Aussies. If you qualify for the guarantee you get 3 goes and either money back if not pregnant or you can go for 3 more tries. Worth considering.

Leyshoja I got my bfp two months shy of my 43rd birthday and it was my own egg. It was also my 8th stim and I think I may have tried for 1 or2 more Stims if it hadn't worked. Originally 42 had been my cut off point but when I hit that age I knew I wasn't ready to stop, so I just kept going. I was getting fewer eggs towards the end as well so I was definitely feeling like d day was looming.

Wow. Maybe I still have a shot after all ! I'm committed now to a donor, but if no go, I think I'll have one more bash at it. Thanks @Team panda

Just another reminder too of @Helsbaby who now has a beautiful baby girl in arms after being successful on cycle 4. Delivered at age 44.
