Hi everyone. I had my beta today and it came in at 520 so I'm happy with that. So far so good!

Still haven't made it in here to do some personals! Hopefully there'll be time over the weekend. :-)

After my nov cycle I waited 8 weeks for my period *thumps head on desk* I ended up going on provera for a week to bring it on. And then I was starting a long down reg with a pill start so it was another two months. I won't wait that long again.

    Hi Everyone

Just popped in to let you know the latest for me and my son, Jesse.

Jesse had his cleft lip repair surgery done and it was a complete success...the scarring is already very minimal. The surgery could not occur here in Cairns and we had to travel to Townsville. I hated leaving my 6 week old in the operating theatre...I cried and cried, it broke my heart. Jesse healed well and the stitches came out 2 days early and we were allowed to leave hospital after 6 days. My very first mothers day was spent in hospital but my present was a return to breastfeeding after Jesse was tube fed for 5 days.

The surgery put back Jesse's neck development as we were unable to do tummy time and burp over the shoulder just in case he hit his lip. Smiling was put back too due to the internal stitches which have just worked their way out..he is absolutely full of smiles now.

He was 3 months old last Monday...time is going way too quick!! DP and I are starting to talk heading back to Cape Town for bub number...only talking at this stage, but we do have 6 blasts frozen over there.

Hope you are all well. Good luck on your journeys....I wish I had more time to follow the thread more closely, but Jesse now takes up so much of my time and you know what....I don't mind one bit...I waited WAY too long for him!!!

Wishing you all lots of baby dust.

Sunny.... totally understandable!!! But still absolutely lovely to hear of your news once in a while, always giving us hope. Can't believe he's already 3 months old now - that has gone so quickly when you say it like that. That's so exciting to even be contemplating the next one. Good luck xx

Mrs Erin - congratulations on the bfp! Very happy for you.
Sunny it's great that the surgery was a success. It must have been so hard seeing your baby going through surgery. I'm glad it all went well.

    Hi everyone

Seems I didn't quite get around to the detailed personals I was planning to do and so I'm just dropping in to say a quick hi to everyone.

I did quickly want to say that I've just been on synarel for weeks and weeks this last with no major side-effects. Slight headaches maybe. It tastes awful about 10 mins after sniffing though...sorry girls!

BlueWombat, just wanted to say welcome and if you want to know anything about egg donation overseas then feel free to PM me. I am just back from a successful cycle in south Africa. There are a number of threads for people looking into egg donation in various countries and the ladies are very helpful and supportive. There is also a network of people looking for donors in Australia if that is your preference. I'm also in Melbourne, and the FS who specialize in treating older women are Nick Lolatgis and Lynn Burmeister. They are both with Monash. It may be worth getting their opinion. As for the World Egg Bank, it's very expensive. It was cheaper for us to go overseas.

All my best to those of you who've just had transfers and to those about to embark on cycles.

AFM, nothing new to report today. Feeling a bit nervous about my 2nd beta tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, hope everyone has had a great weekend.....am feeling very crampy today with the Crinone cream today, 5 days after ET. I don't remember being this crampy with other cycles, it comes and goes just a bit uncomfortable. Faithandhopellove - are you hanging in there ? Hey just a quick question, in a past post of yours you said you FS thinks this will be an unsuccessful cycle, why is that ? Is it because your eggs weren't at Blast stage ? Because my scientist said they were happy with Morula stage for transfer....I kinda feel for you that they weren't being positive with the ET....the best place for the eggs is inside us and not in a dish, so they can still develop. All the best to everyone this week on the cycles, and those that have posted BFP in the last few weeks a big CONGRATULATIONS : )
