@Fudge09 Congrats on your BFP on your anniversary and great numbers too hopefully my birthday will be lucky for me too. I know what your saying about being so tired your limbs feel heavy. I'm not sure about the progesterone causing bleeding but nurse said it does make you super tired and that is normal. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out on the POAS.

Twinkley to poas or not poas. ..I think it is a personal decision. But if you do it and get a bfn just remember it may be too early yet. Good luck!

    Hello,
Im 42 at the end of this year. We have male factor fertility issues here and I have perfect fertitlity.... except for now my age. It took quite a few years to convince hubby we would need IVf to concieve a child. I feel thos years were now wasted.

Ive just finished my 2nd failed IVF- Well official test day is not until the 29th but I already know. Ive started spotting.

Ive previously had two Ivf pregnancies.
We started when I was 38 and our first try was a double transfer of two perfect blasts. Resulted in a triplet pregnancy but Ended in a miscarriage at 10 weeks. My second resulted in our perfectly gorgeous girl when i was 40. We were happy and done and not prepared to go back. That was until she turned one annd as I watched her playing in the yard I felt sad for her that she would be an only child. So we jumped back on the wagon.

April this year we transferred a perfect hatching blast that failed to take and now this month we transferred our worst effort, a very sad looking fuzzy b grade. I could tell at out transfer they were trying to be positive for me but I did detect some doubt in their comments. Ive just discovered some spotting now, so pretty sure its over. I tested stark white at 5dp and 7dp a 5dt. I can see now the quality of my eggs in serious decline.

For us, that was to be it. We were going to get on with our lives and forget about it if this one did not take, But I keep asking myself... "what if we try just one more time"
For me I am happy with just DD, and I know hubby would like another but he will go along with whatever I decide. But my heart is aching for my daughter who i dearly want her to have a sibling.

Im sorry im waffling on, just in a little shock i think that once again it hasnt work for us.
I would love to hear of any success stories of pregnancies after 41-42 and also from anyone with late BFP on HPT.

    Greetings all,

Well I am back on the roller coaster, had an initial appointment at primary ivf the bulk billing place, and have an appointment with the specialist in two weeks as I need to get a copy of my old notes from ivfa.

I did one ivf to get my baby girl who is now 14 months old and I long for her to have a sibling when I was 38 so now I am 40 and terrified we won't hit the jackpot a 2nd time.

So that's my story looking forward to supporting each other on our quests for baby joy

Hi @dextersmum , I can't give you any success stories, I'm currently on my 2ww, 3rd ivf with first 2 being unsuccessful. But I think you will know when you've tried enough, and don't despair about your daughter, I'm an only child and it never bothered me. I also have some friendships that have lasted since my childhood, which I don't think would have happened if I had siblings, and it's wonderful. Good luck with whatever you decide, and don't write your cycle off just yet x
@Killarneygirl that sounds great. I'd be very interested in learning about the bulk billing place. We've just used MyIVF in Brisbane, and the out of pocket is only $1200 & upfront was about half of QFG.

As for me, arghh! The dreaded 2ww, symptom spotting, hoping for good things, doubting everything. Fun times lol

Our plans were the same as yours @Grace1 on our first ivf, but we only got 2 eggs, 1 fert 3dt, BFN. Second round 4 eggs, 2 fert 3dt, BFN. New cycle, new FS, 6 eggs 3 fert 2 put back on 4dt. He thought even though we didn't have high numbers, a later transfer would ensure we were putting back a strong one

@Fudge09 Thanks. How are you? So I caved to the POAS urge couldnt resist. You can read my update below more confused than ever now.

Welcome @dextersmum and @Killarneygirl Hope your ivf journey's are short ones.

@Petal40 - Tell me about it the 2WW is awful I've got 1 more week till my BT which is on 4th September and decided to POAS yesterday & today you can read below my update im so confused now as started getting AF type bleeding but a bit different. When is your BT?

@Grace1 - Good luck with your embbies hope they keep growing nicely. I had 15 collected 11 fertilised only got 2 and they were both 5 day blastocyst on day 3 had some pretty good numbers so I guess could have put some back at 3 days but waited till day 5 and put back one and froze one FS recommended not putting 2 back as he said not really much more of a chance of one taking and that frozen ones often take better but having said that they also have to survive the thaw so its really hard to know what to do. Good luck.

AFM - *I have not done any pregnyl shot just progestrone pessaries.

So here is the update - Still getting brown discharge has now turned from light brown to a dark brown and a few little clots looking things looks more like a very light AF called the clinic and they said
the bleeding could be irritation from the pessaries and to keep taking them till a negative BT or full flow AF arrives. Also started to get lower back pain yesterday. I'm so confused what is going on so yesterday 6DP5DT (I know this is way early) I thought ill POAS to see I used 2 kinds one was internet cheapie and nothing then did a First Response and got a faint line so today bleeding is a little heavier than yesterday and I figured if line is getting darker that would be a good sign so I also POAS today (7DP5DT) - I used four different kinds too (LMAO yep i POAS crazy) and im even more confused the internet cheapie was nothing again and the First response same results as yesterday faint line then did another internet POAS and got a faint line and a digital Clearblue. What do you ladies think from your experiences? I'm scared that its going to be a chemical pregnancy? I think I will keep POAS everyday to see if it gets darker? This really is a mind F**K such torture.

Twinkley that is so exciting! That is exactly how my poas looked. Super light line. The next time (next day) I tested a bit darker. My clinic told me any depth of colour in the line is a bfp as long as your trigger is out of your system. I would think that is a bfp! Do the other ladies think the same?
