Default Bleeding after depo provera injection.

Hi. I had a depo injection over 3 months ago I was scheduled for another injection on the 9th June. (Won't be getting it) and now I've had my period for 2 weeks. Is this normal post depo. How long is too long to bleed?

I had mine for 1.5months! after getting the injection in late December I started bleeding in feb & wasn't due for another one till March.

Couldn't believe that I just kept bleeding for a month and a half! It was so annoying! It would seem as if it was stopping and then bam it would be back again. DH hated it 😄😄

I got back on the pill in March. I thought the injection would be easier but no taking a pill every day is easier now 😄 and I only get my period around the red pill days so at least I know it's coming.

Sorry it's late and I didn't read your post properly lol. Not sure what's normal for post depo bleeding. I think mine stopped almost a week after my depo ran out (but I had started the pill so that probably helped)

Ahh cool thanks for the reply. I can't take any other hormonal contraceptive and just hope it slows down or stops soon as I'm feeling weak and tired, breathless and dizzy... All my classic symptoms of anaemia

I'd say it's normal just because that always happens when mines running out or I'm due for another shot.

I'd say its normal since you haven't been on it very long. I was on it for 6 years and when I eventually got my period back I spotted and bled for about 2 weeks. Then each period lasted less time until it settled back down to 4 days as usual.

Oh joy still bleeding it's now been over two weeks. Might have to go ask the dr for some iron injections if it's looking to continue
