Default Spin off . For those married/ partnered posters only. More questions!

Thanks to all that have answered. I really need to keep believing there's nice men out there.

    So two more questions.

Were you ' looking ' for a partner when you met or not looking at all.

How long after you met did you realize this was the one?

Yes I was looking for a life partner. We met at a St vinnies youth feeding the homeless program I was helping run.

About 6 weeks. We got married 1 year and 1 week after we met.

Been together 22 years. Married 21.

    * No way. I was only 19 and definitely not looking for anything serious. Far, far from it.

How long after you met did you realize this was the one?

    * Probably not until we had an unplanned pregnancy after 4 years together. I was very close to terminating as I believed I was too young to settle down. Before I got the bfp I was contemplating breaking up with dh to travel South America. He convinced me otherwise. It still took me a good while after my son was born to start accepting that dh and I were in it for the long haul. Ds is 5 now and I'm glad I came around

I was not looking for someone. Neither was df.

We've grown together and realised we couldn't imagine ever being with another person.

Yes I definitely was. I was set up by a friend. We met in March 2006 and were married by September 2006. Didn't actually start living together till end of November. He lived 1.5 hours away so took a while to find a place plus his work was there too. Would see him every weekend and he'd stay over.

Been happily married since! Of course not without its ups and downs but still going strong.

No I wasn't really looking as I had just come out of a 2.5yr relationship.

We knew pretty soon that it was for us. We were engaged shortly before our 2 year anniversary, but DH had bought the diamond about a year earlier. He bought the diamond first (did his research and bought a near perfect diamond. People are always commenting on how sparkly it is), then had the ring made. We would've been engaged sooner except people kept harassing him about getting his act together and proposing, not knowing he already had the ring. We've been together 5yrs, married for just over 1.

I definitely was not look for anyone when I met my DH. We met in a night club of all places! (cringe). My mum recalls me telling her after about 8 weeks that "I think he's the one, I'm going to marry that guy". We were engaged 18 months later.

I met my hubby when I was very young: wasn't looking for a life partner at the time just a boyfriend.... I thought he was really hot stuff. I didn't really think of it as a long term thing until after the first year .. Up to that point he spent most of his time with his mates anyway... I came to the conclusion that he was the one quite some years into our relationship.... After we had both done some growing up.

Definitely NOT looking. I met dh 4 months after xdh and I separated. I knew he was the one after he met my kids which was about 2 weeks into our relationship.
