But this made me think my comment could have been taken the wrong way.

By this, I meant that I had a strict expressing routine and if I didn't express in public, I would be limited to my house and the hospital. I still had to consider whether somewhere was going to have an appropriate place for me, something she didn't seem to do.
Oh no I wasnt referring to your comment at all redlips! I understood what you meant

I hope she didn't think she needed to pump and dump to remove alcohol from her milk because that's an old wives tale. At 4 months of age one wouldn't think she had to pump and dump to relieve pain?. You think she could go 8 hours without exploding? And if she couldn't perhaps she should have postponed the booze fest at the local winery, her bub is only 4 months old for crying out loud...
I went back to work when my eldest was 12 weeks old. I can tell you that me pumping twice a day when he was 4 months old (and still at 12 months old) wasn't because of pain. It was to keep my supply up.

It wasn't the most fun ever, but I knew what I was getting myself in for when I left DS at home!
My friend hand expressed into a hand basin in a night club once. She had quite the audience of drunk girls watching and asking questions.

Yeah I'm with others. The staff were rude but this woman overreacted.

I can totally understand not providing a staff only room. If it's like most restaurants, they have little room for staff so they probably store all their personal belongings in there... Members of the public shouldn't be allowed to roam in or whatever reason. There are lots of people who would need privacy for whatever reason, they don't all go demanding a private staff only room.

When DD2 was feeding, I had to express every 2 hours as my supply was terrible and she was a bad feeder. I pumped in toilets a number of times, just to keep my supply up. It sucks but you make do. I could understand if she was saving the milk, but to dump it? Surely that's better than outside in the cold?

I can beat that.....My ex husband took me out of the hospital to have dinner up the road at the pub for a proper meal 2 days after my son was born. He was in the spacial care unit and needed the meal and cheering up. I had a small beer with my dinner and it was incredibly good.
