Default For those who wash their sheets weekly

Do you also wash the doona cover weekly? And do you iron the doona cover?

I wash the top and bottom sheets weekly, the comforter every 2 weeks (unless it has dirty) and my DH irons the pillowcases (too many years of starched and ironed linen in the armed forces!) but the comforter doesn't need ironing.

Yes doona cover gets washed and either out back on or switched to another one.

I never iron linen. Same as btmac, shake it out while still warm from the dryer and it's fine.

I wash sheets weekly and doona covers whenever needed. I don't iron them, just fold straight off the line

Sheets and doona cover weekly also, on all beds in the house. Doona once every 2 or so months, pillows once a month.

thank you for the replies. For those who said they wash their doona cover every week, do you have a top sheet between you and the doona?

I do, but I also have 2 cats who sleep on the bed and a baby who vomits a lot.

I wash our (mine and the kids) sheets and doona covers weekly, and no I don't use a top sheet.
I was washing less frequently but my kids have dustmite allergies.

I wash sheets weekly, doona cover for my oldest every second week (dust mite allergy and longer than every two weeks she starts reacting to the dustmites) but covers for everyone else...just when they get dirty, or it's been a while. We use a top sheet.
I don't iron anything. Doona covers come off the line and straight back on the bed.

I use a top sheet so we don't really touch the doona (no cats or kids come near the bed), I have been washing the doona cover every 3-4 weeks, and I was just trying to see whether that was average or not. It doesn't really get dirty within that time so I think I'm on the right track.
