say if i (well my mum lol) made some fitted nappies, what would be the best material to use for the whole thing? And if i didnt want to put velcro on them and use a snappi instead is it just a matter of putting terry towelling on the outside?

Not sure about the snappi, I guess terry towel?
You could make them out of hemp, fleece or flannel, with absorbant material on the inside. Not sure I make pockets![]()

Hi,
I have seen some fitteds that had terry towelling on the outside and flannellette on the inside- they looked really good! Im going to try making some in a couple of weeks (when I have learnt to sew a little better!) Will keep you posted! The ones I saw where super cute- pink terry towelling with pink star print flannelette :-D I dont think a snappy would attach to anything but terry... not sure. Has anyone used a snappy with flannel nappies?

flannelette doesnt work with snappies ..... big holes.
i've made nappies with towelling (old towels, or flat nappies) or hemp french terry as the outside layer - both work well with a snappy (the hemp must have the loops on the outside).
