Hmm. I am in nsw and have bought from coles, woollies, Harris farm, Asian grocery, thai restaurant. They are imported from Thailand and to me taste really good so long as they haven't gone off.

From what I understand there many benefits but what I focused on the most was that it can help restore electrolytes and restore hydration making recovery from workouts much quicker making recovery from DOMS much easier, in my case I didn't get DOMS at all after drinking pre and post workout. My friend who is a specialist in all natural products told me there many many other things coconut water will help with but I can't remember everything lol

It's low cal, low salt, low sugar and high in potassium plus has a small amount if a few other minerals - it's a good all round drink if you get bored of water and much better than fruit juice/soft drinks plus as pp said its meant to be good for hydration

I second loodle on the doms.

I just did an Olympic triathlon and then a 70.3 ironman and was having for 3 days before each event 3 litres water 1 litre electrolyte and 1 litre of coconut water. Then the same after the event.

Yesterday was day 2 after a 1.9km swim 90km ride and 21km run and felt so good no soreness a little stiff I did a 7km run nice and slow. I think the coconut water made the different 2 months ago did a similar event and couldn't move properly for days. It really aids my recovery time and also really prepares me hydration wise for racing.

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. Basically the pain you get the few days that follow a hard workout that make you want to cry.

Last night was weights night at boot camp and not only am I not sore today but I also moved up with my weights lifting heavier weights then last time.

Coconut water straight from the coconut is so yum my dd has been drinking it straight from the coconut since she was 1 how can anyone say it's yuk? I'm shocked. They are so sweet and refreshing. We hammer a hole through the top and put a straw in it and drink it straight from the coconut. In summer we go through 3 or 4 a day.

You guys Must try straight from the coconut maybe it's different to the canned stuff?????
