Outing to do with your kids?

At the moment it would be going to the Farmers Markets on a Sunday and picking out the fruit and veg we need for the week ahead, as the kids really get into it and come up with some great meal ideas. We then eat lunch from many cultures and listen to the live music playing.

Another favourite is visiting our local Asian community and the kids watching all the elderly Asians playing Mah-jong together in the town square and again, doing some yummy shopping in all the Asian supermarkets.

    Outing to do by yourself?
Shopping sans kids is always a treat and then I will stop and have a cafe lunch at the end. I also really enjoy, though it rarely happens, going to the movies by myself late at night and watching paranormal or psychological thrillers that I wouldn't get to watch at home.

    Book?
Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes
    To Kill a Mockingbird

    Movie?
So many to choose from, but two that come to mind are:
    Frances
    Running with Scissors

    Tv show?
Crime Scene Investigation on the CSI channel

    Song?
Waaaay too hard to limit to one song, I have so many favourite songs, but off the top of my head:

    Enjoy the Silence (Depeche Mode)
    Bizarre Love Triangle (New Order)

    Food?
    Vietnamese Pho

    Drink?
    Gun Powder Tea

    Favourite childhood toy?
The black rubber Bat that I had hanging by elastic above my bed.

    All time memory?
Flying to Europe as an 18 year old on a one way ticket to live indefinitely.

    Job?
    Counsellor

    Car?
Hmmmm, I have owned so many through the years, but did have a VW Beetle Bug as one of my first cars.

Item you own or want to own?
It's such a cliche, but I do love my engagement ring, especially when it's clean and sparkles in the sunlight.

    Place?
Anywhere my DH and kids are I am happy. Corny, but true.
