If you can get to a Carters outlet, the savings are usually pretty good.

I wish I had also bought a travel crib in the states as it's another thing that is easy to transport back. I've been eyeing the Baby Bjorn one and it's just ridiculously expensive here!
We have the baby Bjorn portacot, I got it in Seattle.
Saved myself close to $250, and I'm very very pleased with it. We used it a lot and it's very comfy coz it doesn't have the bar along the bottom if it that can hurt their backs. Don't regret buying it, but I would never have paid $400-odd in Australia for it.

Still does not meet Australian standards, Maxi Cosi products that can be bought here are different to those overseas there is no Maxi Cosi ap available here. Unless you bought it in Australia it is illegal.

Checked with the manufacturer and QAS and they were both very reassuring thanks for your concern though.

I am wanting to get a 2014 Baby Jogger City Select, I currently have one on layby here for just under $1000, 1 seat. I have found so many US sites that have them for $534 AUD, but aren't allowed to ship to Aus. That's not a problem, I use hop shop go, but the estimate on shipping is usually WAY off what it ends up being!

So, 1, who did you get your pushchair from?
    2. How did you ship it, and what was the price?

    Thanks xx
I bought my Baby Jogger City Mini GT from Amazon. Pram including shipping came to AUD$514 and I had it within a week of ordering. I even checked the model number and it is the same as the one sold here.

I've never seen a seat with both a us and aus/nz certification. I've seen os models brought in and rebadged but not one you can buy direct from the us that has our sticker.

If you're going to NYC, i thoroughly recommend a day at Woodbury Commons for baby shopping. A shuttle bus runs from the Port Authority terminal. I spent about $300 and got a massive haul from Baby Gap, Carter's, Osh Kosh and Gymboree. I got sizes 18m-4 years, and had to buy a new suitcase to get it all back to the hotel :-) This was about 2/3 of what I got...
